Three parks along Highway 4 on Vancouver Island are temporarily closed to the public to help reduce traffic in the area.
MacMillan Park and two other parks, including the day-use picnic areas of Cameron Lake and Beaufort in Little Qualicum Falls, are now closed to the public until Highway 4 fully reopens to traffic.
The ministry says MacMillan Provincial Park and the day-use picnic areas of Cameron Lake and Beaufort in Little Qualicum Falls are closed until the highway, currently shuttered due to a wildfire, fully reopens.“Barrier fencing will be in place at MacMillan Provincial Park. Parking areas will be reserved for use by ministry staff only. Ministry staff will be on-site to guide traffic.”
