THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- A Ventura County Sheriff's Department deputy opened fire on a suspect Saturday morning in Thousand Oaks after a report of a catalytic converter theft led to a police chase, authorities said.
"The suspect vehicle yielded, the deputy gave commands for the vehicle to stop. The vehicle then attempted to ram one of our deputies and an officer-involved shooting occurred," Henderson said. The suspect fled the scene in the vehicle and remained at large.
