The Rising Stars Homework Club is helping kids in Wissahickon School District succeed!
AMBLER, Pa. -- A group of experienced educators in Pennsylvania are helping neighborhood kids exceed in the classroom by giving them extra attention after school.
Patti Fabiani, who has 26 years of experience in the Wissahickon School District in Ambler, originally started the"Rising Stars Homework Club" in 2015.With the help of Heather Maltin, a former high school teacher, Patti revived the club during the pandemic, seeing the need for kids to get one-on-one attention was greater than ever.During the 2021-22 school year, the club helped 45 kids excel in their school work.
Everyday, the kids would be bused after school to the Ambler Borough building, where they would work with the educators. And the results were outstanding! During the pandemic, the need for kids to get one-on-one attention was greater than ever. So the team added members and helped more than 45 kids excel in their school work.
