When one door closes, another opens.
Remember the last-standing B.C. Swiss Chalet restaurant located at 3860 Lougheed Hwy. in Burnaby that closed down last August?Patrons of the old Swiss Chalet spot can soon devour delicious dim sum, barbecue skewers and Hong Kong baked dishes and soupy noodles at Happy Valley Food City, slated to open soon.
Although details are still in the air, signage and an Instagram post suggest that the establishment will be observing a soft opening this month and will serve traditional dim sum during the day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and specialty bbq skewer assortments in their in the evenings from 5 to 11:30 p.m. under their Wonder House banner.
The eatery will also house Hong Kong Cafe from 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., bringing the taste of traditional Hong Kong food to the heart of Burnaby. The NOW has reached out to the establishment for details, and will update with more information as we get them.
