According to the court documents, the 29-year-old was arrested just after 5 a.m. Wednesday at the La Cantera Resort & Spa in the 16600 block of La Cantera Parkway on suspicion of assault with bodily injury. According to police, Forbes became upset with a woman he was dating. After the two returned home, their altercation turned physical, police said.Forbes struck the woman several times, causing her to need medical assistance, police said.
Forbes was a guard with the Spurs from 2016 to 2020 and returned to the Spurs in 2021 after playing for one season with the Milwaukee Bucks. He was traded to Denver, where he played the remainder of the 2021-22 season. He was on the Minnesota Timberwolves roster until Feb. 9 of this year, when he was cut from the team. Forbes has not been picked up by another team.
