Owner says it’s the first time her Niles restaurant has been hit
On Thursday morning, Priscilla Bravo woke up to find that her restaurant, Skillet’z had been broken into, with the cash register, checks and other items gone missing.
It was the first time that the breakfast diner in the historic Niles district — which Bravo has owned for a decade — has ever been burglarized. Other neighboring businesses were also broken into, “We stayed open, we’re not going to let anything stop us,” she said. Police have been supportive, she said, but have yet to identify any suspects.
