With summer in full swing, there are still a lot of Jersey Shore rental properties that have weeks available in July and August, agents say.
The summer shore rental market isn’t as competitive as it has been the past few years – and that means you might find a deal if you haven’t booked yet.but slowed in March and April, leading some owners to lower their rates in the past six weeks, agents say.
“Some owners who still had a lot of weeks that weren’t rented came to us and said, ‘why are they not rented,’ so we looked at comparable properties and saw they were offering more for a little less money, so they reduced their rate,” said Matthew Schlosser, vice president and broker at Schlosser Real Estate in Lavallette.
