Viltrox is aiming at high-end, professional photographers with its new “Air Cutter” AF 75mm f/1.2 lens designed for Fujifilm X-mount.
The company says the new lens embodies its years of “deep cultivation of optical technology” and adopts Hoya’s special nitrate material that it imports from Japan. The company did not elaborate on what that material does for the lens.
The Viltrox AF 75mm f/1.2 is constructed of 11 elements arranged in 16 groups and features an aperture range of f/1.2 to f/16 via an 11-bladed diaphragm. It has a minimum focusing distance of 0.88 meters and the autofocus is driven by a screw-based STM system. Focusing is entirely internal and the front filter size is 77mm.
“The image quality has been improved in an all-round way, forging phenomenal clear picture quality and the ultimate beautiful virtual experience,” Viltrox adds.
