The Star Inn the Harbour in Whitby is to close on 12 November, its owners say
The authority said it had tried to ensure the business could "continue to trade during difficult times". "But the sad truth is that the single main reason we are closing is the almost utter lack of support we have received from Scarborough Borough Council during Covid - just two months' Covid business support.
Mr Pern, whose Star Inn at Harome restaurant was gutted by fire in a suspected arson attack in November 2021, thanked supporters and staff.
