Nicole Kidman and Maya Erskine have signed on for the leading roles in HBO's upcoming limited drama titled The Perfect Nanny.
is written and created by Erskine, who is also executive producing alongside Kidman. Slimani’s novel was actually inspired by the gruesome murders of the Krim Family’s two children in 2012, who were stabbed to death by their part-time caretaker.
“In the miniseries, a seemingly perfect nanny goes to work for a couple with two young children, but her helpful personality eventually deteriorates into something sinister,” reads the synopsis. The project will be executive produced by Per Saari for Blossom films, Pascal Caucheteux for Why Not Productions, and Philippe Godeau for Pan-Européenne. It is a production by Legendary Entertainment and HBO.
