A Rockwall health spot, the Nutrition Spot on Dalrock, wants to avoid the hangover by throwing"health parties."When you consider going to a bar, drinking alcohol is probably the first thing that comes to mind. But there’s also socializing, networking, greasy food, music, dancing and other enjoyable aspects that draw us to the bar. The only downside is the hangover that’s sure to come the next day. That, and the potential for drunk-driving, among other poor decisions.
Like all bars, The Nutrition Spot has it regulars, who call themselves the “Morning Crew.” Among the Morning Crew, the most common thread, other than health-seeking individuals, is mothers — stay-at-home, single moms, entrepreneur moms, empty nesters and new mothers. “I was trying to lose weight, and I really got stuck and wasn’t able to progress in results,” says Brea."So I went into a bar similar to mine and got on a meal plan and was able to stay clear of going into diabetic numbers and that spoke volumes to me because I did not want to be that person who needed insulin, so I took control of it nutrition-wise.
