The problems are two-fold, according to players. The first is the amount of Eggs that are appearing, especially the Sea Eggs.
Sea Eggs are found through fishing, which normally would produce fish or items like old tires and boots. These can be used to sell for bells, in crafting or to donate to the museum. However, the use of fishing rods inis not infinite. After a number of uses, fishing rods will break and force players to craft new ones. That has left fans annoyed that instead of finding fish they are only seeing Sea Eggs, especially after players have crafted all the DIY Recipes for this event.
The second problem is the items and clothing that are crafted. While a subjective matter, some players feel that this event hasn't produced anything to get excited for or give a reason to farm for the various Eggs. Hopefully this update will mitigate the number of Eggs found in the water, but with the update releasing Monday it's too early to tell.Animal Crossing: New Horizons
