The Boston Bruins have been on a legitimate tear throughout the NHL this season; recently, they set the record for most wins in a single season with 63 and became the fastest team in history to reach 100 points. With the season not even over, the Bruins have already captured the President’s Trophy, leading the league with an astonishing record of 63-12-5 and 131 points in head coach Jim Montgomery’s first season behind the bench.
The way I want to go with this off the start is there’s been so much that has gone well with this team. What has been the surprising part of this record-setting season?: Just the fact it has been so consistent, I’ve been waiting since day one for the bottom to fall out or at least a major skid to sort of reset things a bit. But they’ve been the best team in the league since day one, and that rarely ever happens in this league.
