The Mini Cooper SE Convertible is now a reality.
. That means a 32.6-kWh battery pack is onboard to provide up to 125 miles of range, according to Europe’s WLTP test cycle. A single electric motor mounted at the front brings 184 hp, which will allow the convertible EV to hit 62 mph in 8.2 seconds. The convertible models will also come equipped with unique 17-inch cast alloy wheels, which are made from 100 percent secondary aluminum.
The Mini Cooper SE has already proved to be a successful endeavor overseas, with one in five Minis sold on the continent coming in EV form. Anjoining that lineup only makes sense, but we’re somewhat surprised that the model is being offered in such limited quantities. Mini hasn’t shared any pricing information or a release date related to the limited production model at this time.
