According to the Joseon rules, nobleman Jung-Woo cannot pursue a government job and is forbidden from remarrying after his bride dies on the wedding day. Soon-Deok, on the other hand, leads a dual life. As Soon-Deok, she’s a young widow of the second son of the first vice-premier. Yet, as Mrs. Yeo Joo, she claims to be the best matchmaker in town. Eventually, the lead characters meet and decide to arrange marriages for men and women who have surpassed the typical age of marriage.
However, the ending is quite strange. The king orders Jung-Woo to consume poison for ruining the Crown Prince’s marriage proposals.
