The man behind the perfect Poulton-le-Fylde bar crawl - with five venues on one street
Businessman Simon Liptrott knows a fair bit about cocktails and he is using his knowledge for good. Well, nowadays more specifically for the people and visitors to Poulton-Le-Flyde, who can venture to one of his five venues - all on a single street.
After settling in Shanghai for several years, Simon decided to head home to Lancashire to launch his own bar, adding a further four to the portfolio in less than 15 years. "I just wanted to come back and do it alone," Simon, who is originally from the Wyre, told LancsLive."I started Boca first and it grew from there. Winning that title with Maloney's was about 20 years ago now, but I've not lost my passion for it.
Wholesale and energy costs are rising at a rapid speed, and Simon is hoping his "worst fear" of being forced to close one of his venues, does not become a reality.
