These are the logistics keeping Disney's Imagineering on track during the lockdown:
The word 'Imagineering' is a fusion of imagination and engineering and it sets Disney's parks apart from their rivals.
No longer was a roller-coaster a winding track in mid-air. Instead, the version in Walt’s fairytale-themed park is a runaway mine train integrated into a mock-up of the mountains from Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah. Their parks are due to reopen next month along with the two at Disneyland Paris. It will take more than the wave of a magic wand to ensure that workers are at the ready and that their equipment is with them when they do.
I lead an amazing team responsible for almost two million square feet of office and production space. We manage everything from shipping and warehousing logistics and digital services to our fleet of vehicles and equipment and overall environment and safety of our campus. We even run Mickey’s of Glendale - an on-site shop that provides exclusive Disney Imagineering merchandise and other Disney products for our employees and visitors.
