Based on the popular video game of the same name, the highly-anticipated adaptation centers on the relationship between hardened smuggler Joel Miller and precocious 14-year-old orphan Ellie as they embark on a journey across a post-apocalyptic United States.

After taking her first steps outside of Boston, the video highlights Ellie's curiosity about the hellscape before her. She questions Joel about killing infected, wondering if he thinks about the people they once were while Joel emotionally distances himself from Ellie.What The Last Of Us' New Trailer Reveals About The Rest Of Season 1 The new The Last of Us trailer promises a painful and terrifying journey, fraught with horrors from both the infected and survivors.
The trailer also highlights possible allies the heroes meet along their trek, including Henry and Sam , a pair of sibling survivors, as well as Bill and Frank , smugglers teased by Joel's radio codes in episode 1. Ellie's friend Riley is also featured in the trailer. As mentioned by Marlene in the premiere, the video teases her connection to Ellie, promising the orphan's backstory and depicting the events leading to her infection.
The Last of Us co-creators, Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, have repeatedly assured fans that the show will remain faithful to the original game while teasing mind-blowing new additions to the story.
