As well as average speed cameras the limit on some of the five routes will be reduced
Funding has been secured to install five sets of average speed cameras on "high risk" roads in Lancashire.
There are currently eight routes already covered by Jenoptik’s SPECS average speed camera enforcement systems in Lancashire, which were installed in 2017 and 2018. the council says initial evaluation shows there has been a reduction in collisions of up to 86% on these routes. Average speed cameras will be installed on these five roads: The A6 from Lancaster city centre through Scotforth and Galgate to J33 of the M6
