Kenny Goins decided that he wanted to attend Michigan State at the age of 5, when he went to a Spartans basketball game and snapped a photograph of Magic Johnson from atop his dad’s shoulders. His family laughed at his proclamation, but at that moment, Goins insisted with absolute certainty that his future would bring him back to East Lansing.
