TheFabelmans, the new semi-autobiographical film from Steven Spielberg, lands a Rotten Tomatoes score of 95%, which puts it in the director's Top 10 for the aggregator site.

The Fabelmans' official Rotten Tomatoes score ranks it as the seventh highest-reviewed film in the entire canon of Steven Spielberg. Spielberg is an iconic filmmaker who helped invent the summer blockbuster with his massive hit film Jaws in 1975, going on to contribute many more entries to the genre, including the Indiana Jones films, the first two Jurassic Park movies, and Ready Player One.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Now that The Fabelmans reviews have been compiled, the film's official Rotten Tomatoes score has been announced. Across 96 critics' ratings, the film has been Certified Fresh at 95% and currently holds an audience score of 87%.

One reason that critics seem to love The Fabelmans is the fact that it is deeply in love with the power of the cinema, a theme that tends to tug at the heartstrings of those who have made reviewing movies their livelihoods. However, critics are finding much to praise about the film, including the performances by LaBelle, Williams, and Dano, all of whom are thought to be in contention at the 2023 Oscars.

How Will The Fabelmans Do in the Box Office? Given how strong the reviews are for The Fabelmans, many fans and pundits are now wondering how well it might perform at the box office. Theatrical grosses have been tricky to predict in the pandemic era, especially for adult dramas, so solid reviews may not be enough to help the film make back its $40 million budget. Rapturous reviews certainly didn't help Spielberg's 2021 musical remake West Side Story, which floundered at the box office.
