8 Breaking The Continental's Big Rule As established in the original film, the one, inviolable rule of any Continental is that no business can be committed on the grounds, or the person responsible will be rendered "excommunicado." This rule applies to the management too, with Cormac even stating how important this tradition is during the miniseries' opening episode when he's reminded he can't kill one of his incompetent henchmen.
6 The Bowery Queen While Winston has access to guns thanks to Frankie's Vietnam buddies, he's lacking in people to actually use them. He's told that a woman named Mazie runs a network of homeless people who she takes care of. Fans of the franchise will recognize this is the same operation run by Laurence Fishburne's The Bowery King decades later, and it's very possible he and Mazie are related.
