The Big Bang Theory co-creators Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady reveal details about the unaired pilot that audiences never saw. The hit comedy from CBS debuted over 15 years ago in 2007, quickly becoming one of America's favorite sitcoms. Spanning 12 seasons and 279 episodes, The Big Bang Theory amassed a loyal and dedicated fan base throughout its time on air, resulting in merchandise, spin-off television shows, and 10 Primetime Emmy Awards.
BILL PRADY: Well, that pilot was actually the second pilot we had done after the first one didn't work for a bunch of reasons. In the first pilot, the female character is kind of rough. She's dangerous in a way and wasn't very nice to the guys. I remember going to the test screening, the dial testing...PRADY: They hated her, but what was amazing was that they were defending Leonard and Sheldon so much.
