series , photographer Patricia Parinejad once again turns her lens on the natural beauty of those rising to meet our climate reality. ForParinejad has centered the eco-resorts, local artisans, and conservationists of the coastal nation in southwest Africa.
“Since its independence in 1990, Namibia has embarked on a conservation journey,” Parinejad writes in her introduction, praising the nation’s move to clearly enshrine resource conservation and environmental protection in its constitution. Part poetic contemplation, part visual archive of effortful hope amid stacked odds: “May this book be an inspiration,” she writes, “to travel and discover this magnificent country on new, more sustainable paths.” And here, inspiration it is.
