There are seven slides, swings, tunnels, a climbing wall and even sunken trampolines
Although February half term may nearly be over, there’s still the weekend left to enjoy. If your kids have got energy to burn up then a park is one of the best places to take them.
Mayfield Park is the city’s newest park and it only opened in September last year - so this is the first February half term you’ll be able to visit it. Tucked between Piccadilly Station and Trinity Way, the park has breathed new life into a derelict part of the city. Covering a 6.5 acre site, it is on the small side but it's perfectly formed with landscape areas, walkways, grassy lawns and bridges crossing the River Medlock which flows through it. But what really makes this park special is its incredible play area.
