On Tuesday, Dallas resident Ruth Balloon made the shocking discovery that $37 million dollars had deposited in her account at LegacyTexas Bank.
A woman from Northern Texas became a millionaire for a day due to a clerical error made by her local bank.
"I was like, 'wow, we have a lot of money'! I hoped someone really gifted us with that $37million," she told local news stationAccording to reports, after telling her husband about the substantial boost to her funds, Balloon notified the bank of her sudden windfall. An employee apologetically informed her that her newfound wealth was in fact a mistake, and took immediate action to re-route the money to its true owner.
