ULAA notified Pitino that he had violated his contract following allegations in the federal government “insinuate a scheme of fraud and malfeasance” in recruiting.McCasland was one of the first names to surface in public speculation. He’s got a lot going for him. He’s young but experienced as a head coach. With a record of 202-88, he’s won at Midwestern State, Arkansas State and UNT. And he has ties to Tech, having been director of basketball operations from 1999-2001.
