The legal drama is part of a lawsuit against Paxton and the state of Texas from Fund...

A process server who attempted to deliver Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton a subpoena on Monday morning says Paxton ran away from him after he stood at the door of Paxton's home in Collin County and explained to Paxton's wife that he had important legal documents for him. In an affidavit filed in court, the process server said he waited an hour outside the home until Paxton came out, and that when he approached him with the documents, Paxton turned around and ran back into the house through the garage. The state's top law enforcement official, Paxton later again ran past the server, entering a black truck waiting for him driven by his wife, state Sen. Angela Paxton, the affidavit says.

On Tuesday, lawyers from Paxton's office claimed in court that Paxton had"justifiably feared for his personal safety" and referred to the server as a"strange man who was lurking outside of his home and repeatedly shouting at him."
