After months of speculation, a long-rumored clash between global soccer powers Brazil and Mexico at Texas A&M's Kyle Field has officially been given the green light. The Brazilian men's national team and Mexican men's national team will collide in College Station on June 8 as part of the latter's five-city 'MexTour' in advance of this summer’s 2024 CONMEBOL Copa America tournament.
Will Mexico-Brazil at Kyle Field set a U.S. soccer attendance record? But Kyle Field has in the past increased its capacity by thousands through offering standing-room only tickets. A massive crowd of 109,835 flooded into the stadium on Nov. 6, 2021, to see the 14th-ranked Aggies beat No. 13 Auburn 20-3, coming close to matching the venue’s attendance record of 110,633 set during a game against No. 3 Ole Miss in October 2014.
