A Houston Texans star has been suspended for the first six games after violating the NFL's PED policy.
The Houston Texans will be without a defensive star to start the 2024 NFL season, as defensive end Denico Autry has been suspended for violating the NFL's policy on performance enchanting drugs.More news: Texans Signing Former Second-Round Pick To Bolster BackfieldAutry also released a statement on the suspension, which reads:'Over the course of my ten-year NFL career, I have never engaged in the use of performance-enhancing drugs.
To that end, while I intend to explore legal options pertaining to the circumstances that resulted in my positive test, I have accepted the NFL's punishment of a six-game suspension,' Autry added.Losing Autry puts a damper on the Texans' pass rush for the beginning of the 2024 season. He was set to line up alongside Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson Jr.Autry has been in the league since 2014 when he was signed by the then-Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent.
