Riders can choose between a 143- and 72-kilometre ride. Both will be around Greater Victoria, showcasing the many unique sights and views
Registration is open for the Terry Fox Ride of Hope, a fundraising ride for everyone from serious cyclists to recreational riders, set for June 25.
Inspired by his brother Terry, Darrell Fox organized the first event in 2015 to honour the 35th anniversary of the Marathon of Hope.“The 143-kilometre distance is in recognition of the 143 days that Terry ran a marathon each day in his quest to run across Canada,” said organizer Laura Ockenden. “Our fundraising goal also reflects the number 143, with a goal of $14,300. Last year we proudly raised $11,843.”The ride starts at 8 a.m. June 25 from Trek Bikes, 338 Catherine St., at 8 am.
