Alaskan authorities are searching for a Tennessee man and woman who went missing while on vacation in Fairbanks, and officials found their rental car abandoned near a hiking trail.
The Fairbanks Police Department said in a Facebook post that Jonas Bare, 50, and Cynthia Hovsepian, 37, checked in to an AirBnb in the downtown area of the city Aug. 9 and were scheduled to check out on Aug. 11 at 11 a.m., but failed to do so.
Chena Hot Springs Resort's website states that several hiking trails are nearby, but warns that there's no cellphone service while hiking.
