A northeast Calgary house explosion has rocked a Marlborough community after leaving 10 injured Monday morning.

Among the first witnesses on scene were local teenagers Arlo Quinn, 17, and Jorja Puttick, 16. Quinn said he was sitting in bed eight homes away Monday morning when he felt his house shake and heard a loud boom. He thought at first a car had hit his home but when he saw thick smoke billowing outside, he called 911 and ran to the scene.Article content
“In my pyjamas, I ran outside. There wasn’t any EMS or fire trucks, it was just minutes after, so I went to see how I could help,” said the woman, who asked not to be identified.
