Three teens stole a vehicle Wednesday from a Wasilla home with a 6-year-old child sitting inside, Alaska State Troopers said

Authorities were responding to a report of a burglary on Williwaw Way just after 11 a.m. when a vehicle was reported stolen a few houses away, troopers said in aThe vehicle and suspects were located a few miles away near Crusey Street and the Parks Highway, troopers wrote. “The investigation revealed the 6-year-old was kicked out of the vehicle a few blocks after the theft and walked back home,” troopers wrote. The child was not injured.
The 17-year-old boy who was driving the stolen vehicle was remanded to the Palmer Youth Facility for outstanding warrants and new charges of vehicle theft, reckless endangerment and accessory to burglary, troopers said. The 16-year-old boy passenger is facing charges of burglary, fourth-degree assault and criminal mischief. The 17-year-old girl passenger is facing a charge of criminal mischief. Both teens were remanded to the Palmer Youth Facility.
