SAN ANTONIO -According to court records, the incident happened Saturday when police received a call from another officer being assaulted during a traffic stop.
by SBG San Antonio Staff ReportsSAN ANTONIO - A local teen was pulled over for a traffic stop and one thing led to another resulting in the 17-year-old facing over $100,000 in bonds.
The San Antonio Police Officer initiated the traffic stop and Jose Angel Rodriguez, 17, pulled over his Toyota Camry at a nearby gas station.When the officer approached Rodriguez's vehicle, he walked near to inform him about why he was being pulled over but suddenly noticed a rifle in the backseat. Rodriguez then decided to accelerate and dragged the officer several yards at a high rate of speed through the parking lot according to the affidavit.
