A 14-year-old is in custody after shooting another teen in North Dallas, police say.

A 14-year-old boy died Wednesday, almost a week after he was shot by another 14-year-old in North Dallas, police say. Officers were called to the 12700 block of Merit Drive, near LBJ Freeway and Coit Road, about 6:45 p.m. May 25 and determined a teenage boy shot the victim, according to police.Authorities declined to release the names of the victim and suspect, citing their ages.Email Address
