The teen went to the Hillcrest Avenue deli around 6 a.m. June 6 and ordered food before he pulled a gun and demanded money, the prosecutor said. During the confrontation, the assailant fired a shot, which grazed the forehead of Palacios’s 57-year-old brother. Investigators used surveillance video and forensics to help identify the accused killer, according to Onofri. The footage showed the teen riding a multi-colored bike and wearing a black jacket with white sneakers marked with the word “AIR” in large letters.
