The 19-year-old accused of killing 10 people and injuring three others when he opened fire with a high-powered rifle at a Buffalo, New York, supermarket has pleaded not guilty to hate crime and firearms charges in federal court

Wearing an orange jumpsuit and shackled at his hands and feet, Payton Gendron was flanked by his lawyers. If convicted, Gendron could face the death penalty.
