Hell hath no fury like a Swiftie scorned — and that goes double for Taylor Swift herself. Following this week's Ticketmaster debacle for The Eras Tour concert tickets, Taylor didn't mince words about her disappointment with the monopolizing ticket company.
The trouble started on Monday, when Verified Fan notifications went out to fans who registered ahead of time for the Verified Fan presale for Taylor's Eras Tour, her first since 2018. While many fans were waitlisted or didn't get verified at all, thousands of others logged on for Tuesday's presale only to face technical glitches, quickly-vanishing tickets, exploitative dynamic pricing, and hours-long wait times in Ticketmaster's opaque queue.
The Capital One presale a day later was similarly clogged with long queues and tech issues. By Thursday, Ticketmaster had nixed the planned general sale on Friday.
