Taylor Swift, Dylan O’Brien, and Sadie Sink?! Name a more iconic trio!!
season — and Taylor Swift is treating fans to an “All Too Well” short film in just a few days.
The highly anticipated re-release of the Grammy-nominated album by Miss Taylor Alison Swift is now less than a week away. On Friday morning, she announced that she will be turning the beloved hit “All Too Well” into a short film starring Dylan O’Brien,, and herself. The short film, written and directed by Taylor, is the latest in a series of announcements she’s given about what to expect from the re-release. It’ll be premiering on November 12, the same date as the album drop.
In the 30-second teaser trailer, a vehicle is driving down an empty road with autumn leaves falling around it. While there’s no other information given about what the short film is about, fans are speculating that it’ll be inspired by her relationship with the original muse of “All Too Well,” actor Jake Gyllenhaal. Understandably, fans are losing it over the news.
Taylor has said numerous times in the past that “All Too Well” was the hardest song to write while making the album. In an interview within 2012, Taylor said, “It took me a really long time to filter through everything I wanted to put in the song without it being a 10-minute song, which you can't put on an album.”
Well… now not only are we getting the full version of the song, but we’re also getting a short film out of it too. Dreams do come true.
