Locust was reportedly the only woman coaching on the defensive side of the ball in the NFL.

She was hired by Tampa Bay as a defensive line assistant in 2019.

She is one of several coaching moves made by the team after it’s disappointing 8-10 season which just wrapped up with a playoff loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Tampa Bay also reportedly fired offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich, wide receivers coach Kevin Garver and running backs coach Todd McNair.
