Rotary Ribfest attracted 33,000 visitors to last summer's three-day event at Open Hearth Park. The event will be back this summer, from July 14-16, at the same location. IAN NATHANSON/CAPE BRETON POSTSYDNEY, N.S. — The sights and smells of barbecued ribs — and the sounds of crowds enjoying them — will be returning this summer.Other than dates established for the seventh annual event, few details were released regarding who to expect for this year’s lineup.
“We will still have a beverage tent and the family fun area. Essentially, there will be something there for every member of the family.” The Rotary clubs of the Cape Breton Regional Municipality are once again sponsoring Ribfest and for 2023 they have selected the United Way of Cape Breton as their charity of choice.
