“I really wasn’t thinking much into it,” Doyle said. “I was seeded sixth. I was supposed to get sixth. If I’m seeded sixth, I might as well go all out in the first 50 and see what I have back in the tank, and it was enough.”“It was hard,” Doyle said. “My back starts to really hurt and light on fire. That’s when I know I’m going super-fast, and I’m about to reach a new time or do something crazy.”
“That was points and a medal for our team,” Doyle said when he saw he finished third. “To get third was amazing.”
