Song Kang as Cha Hyun-su in Sweet Home with red eyes behind him.
Summary Sweet Home's final season will be coming to Netflix on July 19, 2024, and although there is a much shorter gap between this season and the last, there are still many important things to remember before watching the final installment. Sweet Home is a K-drama based on the webtoon of the same name, starring Song Kang, Lee Si-young, Go Min-si, and Lee Jin-wook.
Though every death in Sweet Home season 2 had a clear impact, none feels more disappointing than Yoon Ji-su's . Yoon Ji-su was a fan-favorite character in Sweet Home's first season and although her death helped her save Young-su, her end did not do her character justice. Su-young's death was just as heartbreaking, as it left her younger brother Young-su as the only child left from Green Home.
8 Cha Hyun-su Is Absent For Most Of Season 2 He Looks To Have More Screen Time in Season 3 Close Despite being the leading character of Sweet Home's first season, Song Kang's Cha Hyun-su was absent for most of its second. This was a risky move that came with a lot of criticism, and Cha Hyun-su's importance in the first season seemed to be replaced by storylines of newer characters.
6 Hyun-su Was Used As An Experiment To Understand Monsters and Monster-Humans These Experiments Create New Tensions Ahead of Season 3 Close One of Sweet Home season 2's most controversial new characters is Dr. Lim, played by Oh Jung-se. Contrary to popular belief, Dr. Lim views humans as a sickness and monsters as a cure and is completely fascinated by the entire monsterization process.
5 Yi-kyung Gives Birth To A Monster Child The Nameless Girl's Powers Are Different To Other Monsters Close In Sweet Home's first season, Seo Yi-kyung discovered she was pregnant. Although she was not very far along in her pregnancy in Sweet Home 2, Yi-kyung gives birth to a girl before the show's time skip takes effect. Yi-kyung's birth is rapidly accelerated due to the baby's father, Sang-won, being a monster-human.
3 The Monsters Are Evolving The Battle Between Humans And Monsters Is Getting More Tense Close Though Dr. Lim dedicated a lot of time to studying the monsters and monster-humans, it is only in the show's final episode that he discovers that the monsters are beginning to evolve. Characters such as Yi-kyung's unnamed daughter begin to arouse suspicions as to what monsters and monster-humans may be capable of.
