The BMW sedan went off the road, traveled through several front yards and hit mailboxes and shrubbery, police said. During the crash, the sedan hit a PPL utility pole and sheared it off in two places. Police said the crash disrupted power to thousands of residents for 10 hours and nine residences close to the utility pole were hit with a major power surge.
