It all comes back to a California law which prohibits a person from pursuing another to retrieve stolen property if there’s no longer a threat of bodily harm or injury. As a result, the suspects will only face charges of robbery, possession of stolen property, and firearm enhancement.The DA said it would’ve been a difficult decision.
