Saskatoon police contacted the BOLO program and to consider their investigation file, Saskatoon Police Service Supt. Patrick Nogier said in a phone interview from Toronto, where he attended Monday’s announcement.
The fact Saskatoon police approached BOLO doesn’t mean the trail went cold; Nogier said the investigation is still active and police have been following up on tips and leads. “The first thing to do today is to acknowledge that Ouellet-Gendron is in the top 25 and we’re also expecting, and we’ve seen many times before, just the fact that we’re updating this top 25 today, and that there are new suspects, may actually bring tips to the Saskatoon Police Service,” BOLO director Max Langlois said during a virtual question-and-answer session with media.Article content
The highest amount offered is $250,000, which is for the top most wanted, Christian Cuxum, 19, accused of first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of a 49-year-old man who was refereeing a soccer game at a community sports complex in Toronto last Thanksgiving weekend.
