JUST IN: Police have arrested a man accused of killing a Red Robin employee during an attempted robbery earlier this year.
The incident happened at around 9 a.m. on June 12 when Salt River Police say an employee of the restaurant nearOfficers responded to the restaurant and discovered the body of Joseph Doyle inside after conducting a sweep of the building.
According to court documents, 23-year-old Carlos Herrera was arrested in connection to Doyle's murder on Oct. 12. As Doyle was leading Herrera to a booth inside the restaurant, Doyle claims he reached for the run and it went off, striking Doyle in the chest.
