RPL highlighted an upcoming pilot program which will see crisis workers at the central location offer supports for patrons as needed, as an example.
SPL said its security team includes personnel “at locations that routinely experience incidents,” five personnel at the central location and a senior manager, in addition to assistance from police and community support officers when needed. “We work with many community partners to connect vulnerable people to community resources, but these are community issues that the library cannot address. We continually make changes to improve security to make libraries safe,” it continued.
