ICYMI: Summerside police will review the conduct of the Charlottetown police officers who responded to multiple calls to Tyler Knockwood's home in January, hours before he was found dead at Province House.

that during those visits, she and members of their family told police Tyler was dealing with a mental health crisis and needed to be taken to the hospital.

In a Feb. 17 emailed statement to SaltWire Network, Summerside police Deputy Chief Jason Blacquiere confirmed the department would be conducting a review of the contacts and actions of the officers who handled the case prior to Tyler’s death, at the request of Charlottetown Police. “Having an outside agency conduct the review casts a fresh set of eyes on whatever actions were taken during the course of an investigation,” he said.
